Hyperspectral Imaging to Characterize Table Grapes

چکیده
Table grape quality is of importance for consumers and thus producers. Its objective usually determined by destructive methods mainly based on sugar content. This study proposed to evaluate the possibility hyperspectral imaging characterize table grapes through its (TSS), total flavonoid (TF), anthocyanin (TA) contents. Different data pre-treatments (WD, SNV, 1st 2nd derivative) different were tested get best prediction models: PLS with full spectra then Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) realized after selecting optimal wavelengths thanks regression coefficients (β-coefficients) Variable Importance in Projection (VIP) scores. All models good at showing that a relevant method predict sugar, flavonoid, The predictions obtained from wavelength selection β-coefficients TSS VIPs windows using SNV pre-treatment Thus, order while reducing sets limit storage enable an industrial use.

Antimicrobial Treatments to Preserve Packaged Ready-to-Eat Table Grapes
Ready-to-eat table grapes are a product with severe shelf life problems. Mass loss, colour changes, accelerated softening and mould proliferation can greatly influence quality decay of berries. Hence, the effects of different dipping treatments on the quality of packaged ready-to-eat table grapes have been successfully assessed. Various antimicrobial compounds (trans-2-hexenal, potassium sorbat...
متن کاملNIR hyperspectral imaging and multivariate image analysis to characterize spent mushroom substrate: a preliminary study
Commercial mushroom growth on substrate material produces a heterogeneous waste that can be used for bioenergy purposes. Hyperspectral imaging in the near-infrared (NHI) was used to experimentally study a number of spent mushroom substrate (SMS) packed samples under different conditions (wet vs. dry, open vs. plastic covering, and round or cuboid) and to explore the possibilities of direct char...
متن کاملAroma characterization based on aromatic series analysis in table grapes
Aroma is an important part of quality in table grape, but the key aroma compounds and the aroma series of table grapes remains unknown. In this paper, we identified 67 aroma compounds in 20 table grape cultivars; 20 in pulp and 23 in skin were active compounds. C6 compounds were the basic background volatiles, but the aroma contents of pulp juice and skin depended mainly on the levels of esters...
متن کاملEarly harvest delays berry skin browning of ‘Princess’ table grapes
Table grapes commonly suffer from tissue browning during harvest, packing, storage and shelf life, resulting in lower prices and reduced access to markets. We evaluated the development of browning symptoms in ‘Princess’ table grapes. The berries had high skin browning but very low flesh browning incidences. The most skin browning was found in highly mature grapes and appeared after 3 weeks of c...
متن کاملUnderstanding American and Chinese consumer acceptance of ‘Redglobe’ table grapes
‘In-store’ consumer acceptance tests were performed on a group of 400 American consumers and 250 native Chinese consumers to determine the relationship between ripe soluble solids concentration (SSC) and titratable acidity (TA) on consumer acceptance of ‘Redglobe’ grapes for different ethnic groups. For this, a group of Caucasian, Hispanic and Chinese-American consumers and a group of native Ch...
